Photography Projects - AI/Human Images and Perspective Photos
AI/Human Images
The theme of this project was to generate images from text prompts using references from actual photos either taken by hand using a camera or stock images from search engines like Google. After generating the photos, we edited these AI images using human touch on Photoshop and added or subtracted objects from the AI image to make it look more realistic. Also, the photos are in black and white, but we could make the artistic choice of keeping the images in color.
My choice was to make the images black and white and look like pictures taken in the past. Also, I did not add a realistic touch to most of the photos; instead, I made them so that people could see they were AI-generated images. There is no artist statement for these photos, only the text-to-image prompts. The AI Image generation site I used was NightCafe.
Perspective Photos
For this photography project, we had to take perspective photos. We could composite them in Photoshop or build a perspective contraption. Many of my classmates built their contraptions and assembled their objects to take perspective images, and my idea was to use reflection and size. I also had the help of my sister and her dog in some of my pictures.
I have two diptychs and one triptych; the rest are singular pictures. One set of diptychs is of shadows, and the other is of a wine glass reflecting the background upside down. The shadow is of my sister; you can also see her dog peering out behind. The triptych is of a lake and a hand; the hand looks like it is trying to grab and hold onto the lake.
Also, one of my favorites for the singular pictures is the reflection of two different flowers. The flower in the mirror differs from the flower outside the mirror.
We only had to focus on taking perspective photos and editing them in Photoshop.
